Plant-Based Cooking Classes

Healthy and tasty, together we cook! All vegan and delicious, beautifully prepared, mostly gluten-free, and nutrient dense.

Whether you are vegan or not, single or a parent or both, athletic or not, each class will be fun, informative, creative, and designed to inspire you in the kitchen. You will learn short cuts, ways to optimize your cooking time, how to transform, what otherwise could be yet another dull day of unhealthy food with white flour and sugar, into super charged, healthy, tasty, easy to prepare, mega meals and snacks for the road or at home for you and / or your family to enjoy.

Yes, you could probably learn everything you ever wanted to learn on the internet, but the fun is in the group setting and having personalized guidance from a certified nutrition and fitness consultant and long time vegetarian. Here is an example of what we have cooked in the past and more to come in the future.

Cooking Class Menu (Sample Only): 

• Tofu Scramble with Kale Pesto: Already made and ready to devour. We will discuss 3 different ways to make it super healthy and tasty, while going over the day’s agenda and offering helpful cooking, cutting and nutrition tips.

• Salads to Live For: Cooked and raw, sweet and savory, hearty and delicious. There is nothing boring about this menu item. I will help you update your favorite salad and inspire you to make your own dressings – fat free and otherwise.

•Sauces are the Spice of Life: If you are a saucy person, like myself, you’ll love these recipes. There are so many delicious creative approaches to dairy-free dips and sauces. Nacho and ricotta cheese, thai dipping sauce, a healthy version of pesto, romesco and mediterranean dip, and cilantro almond pesto. I will show you how to use them to spruce up the other menu items.

•Chai, Chai Chili: A refreshing spin on chili with a thai spice appeal for those cold winter nights. Sweet potatoes, red bell peppers and a touch of cashew cream makes this classic not so blazay.

•Butternut Squash Wraps: Sweet butternut squash mashed, carmelized onions, white beans and sweet and spicy peppers make this wrap extra special. We will use both corn tortillas and collard greens.

•Black Bean Brownies: Simple to prepare, healthier than the traditional brownie and DEEElicious! I guarantee it! Put your own spin on it, adding cinnamon, chipotle, salted caramel sauce, minty goodness, etc.

The classes will take place in my brand new kitchen (yay!) at 174 Glen Park Ave in San Rafael. The Cost is $120 and payment is due 1 week prior to the class. You will always know what the menu will be before signing up. There is a 50% non-refundable fee if you have to cancel less than 24 hours. Please do your very best to not cancel. For each class, there will be plenty of delicious, organic food and I always try to have leftovers so you can share samples with your families, so bring a container just in case. Additionally, if you have a favorite knife, an apron, and a cutting board, please bring it.
